Rediscover the Magic of Analog

Welcome to Lost Format Society — a sanctuary for analog enthusiasts, collectors, and dreamers keeping the glow of vintage media alive. We believe the tactile, imperfect charm of VHS tapes, cassette decks, Polaroid cameras, and film projectors deserves more than nostalgia — it deserves preservation.

In a world built on instant streaming and endless scrolls, we invite you to press play again on something real, something that hums, flickers, and breathes.

Our Mission

We specialize in pre-owned media and in-house refurbished electronics — from VCRs and camcorders to vintage film gear and retro audio equipment.
None of our products are new, but each one has been meticulously inspected, cleaned, tested, and described with honesty.

Every item in our store has been hand-selected by us — not just as sellers, but as collectors who revere these formats. We only list products we’d proudly add to our own shelves.

Condition & Authenticity

Each piece comes with a story: gentle scuffs, faded lettering, and the warm quirks of analog life. These details don’t subtract from their value — they’re part of what makes them special.

When you buy from Lost Format Society, you’re buying something that’s been tested to perform, not to pretend it’s new.

Return Policy (Honest & Fair)

Because our items are vintage and pre-owned, returns are accepted only for functional issues — not for cosmetic wear or buyer’s remorse.

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery if your item stops working under normal use. Once verified, we’ll offer a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on availability.

Not covered: normal analog quirks (tape hiss, tracking lines, light hums), cosmetic imperfections, or damage from misuse or modification.

To start a return, email support@lostformatsociety.shop with your order number and a brief description or video of the issue. We’ll reply within 2–3 business days with next steps.

Our goal is simple — to make sure your analog treasures keep working and keep inspiring.

Why We Care

We do this because we love it.
We still get chills hearing the soft click of a cassette deck or the flutter of tape rolling through a VCR. These moments remind us of a time when media was physical, intentional, and human.

Every refurbished machine, every rescued tape, and every format we revive is a small act of cultural preservation.
